Books and DVDs Flowing to the Sea In full-color with Hawaiian translation, Flowing to the Sea, the children's book, features Brian and Nicole discovering the magical stream connection as a mysterious ball leads them on a journey of understanding the water cycle, life cycles of native Hawaiian stream life, and the ways that we can care for our streams and near-shore environments. The 23 minute companion DVD includes footage of Hawaiian streams and wetlands and their native inhabitants and features popular island musician, Jerry Santos. We All Need the Forest A boy goes to the rainforest in search of three plants for his ailing grandfather and meets a mysterious forest guardian who teaches him about lokahi (balance in nature), hoololi (change) and malama (taking care), and about the essential role of rainforest as watershed cover and habitat. The 18 minute DVD features footage of Hawaiian streams and rainforest plants and animals.
